For the 3rd project, I get to show you how to build a windmill out of paper cups and other simple items. I’m not going to lie, this project looks a little harder and some glue is required. The plan is to go to the store and purchase some of the items I need for the project. I mostly have everything at home, but I’m in need of some differently sized paper cups and a garden stake.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been taking small but incremental steps to achieve my dreams. I’ve managed to publish two videos and I’m currently working on my 3rd video. With these small steps, I still feel like I haven’t achieved what I want since I have yet to make a single penny from all of this work. So today I want to reflect a little on what I’ve done and where I’m going.

I started this journey a little over a month ago. I’ve been posting every day and making progress towards my goal almost every day. 30+ days and I feel like I’m not making the traction I want to be making. Today I started thinking about why I’m not making the progress I want to make. And I think the conclusion I’ve arrived at is that I just don’t prioritize my side hustle as much as I should. I think about my service all day long, but the actual work I do every day is limited to about 20 minutes. And 15 of those minutes are spent thinking and writing of this post. I’m mainly blaming me taking two hours every morning to read through the four books that I’ve committed to reading.

What I’m going to change tomorrow is instead of reading through all four books, I’m going to scale back down to two books and increase my time spent on my hustle to a whole 30 minutes. Every morning, I’m going to dedicated 30 minutes of deep work on my service. This may be working on putting together materials for the video, or creating a lesson plan. Speaking of which, I’ve been wanting to make lesson plans for all my projects but yet another thing I have yet to start. It can be a little unmotivating to make such little progress but I also have to remind myself that I’m in this for the long haul. I know I’m not going to be an overnight success and I have time to grow my audience. So far I’ve received over 700 views on my content/posts and I’m excited to get to 1k.

I start with this new plan tomorrow. My goal will be to shop/collect all the items I need to make the video. One big objective for tomorrow is to get back to writing these posts in the morning as opposed to the night. I’m way too tired at the end of the day to be writing these.

And to wrap this up, I wanted to let you know that I managed to use some of the principles I’m learning in the books at work today. It wasn’t much but my team and I were able to come together and solve a pretty big problem at work today. I’m excited to learn more things and try them out at work. See you all tomorrow.
