Doing What I Promised I’d do . . . Kinda
I can’t believe I’m writing this right now. . . but I was able to actually do many of the things I told myself I needed to do. I managed to publish our 8th Scratch project video on Sunday night. This opened up my Monday morning to dedicate my time to creating the banner for our Youtube channel. It’s not the best, but I’m proud of it and I built it all myself.
Tomorrow morning we are going to record and publish our 9th Scratch project video. Only two more to go and then we get to pivot to our next major area of focus within Scratch. I’m super excited to start that new journey, but first, I need to finish the last two projects!!!
I started bouncing some ideas with a friend on how I’m going to proceed with my Plan B hustle. After the project and after phase 2, I eventually need to grow this into a sustainable business. One of the first things I’m going to start immediately is finding an audience that will gain significant value from the content we are putting out. This means I’ll be spending a lot more time on Twitter and Instagram finding hashtags and groups that need my content. There’s also a 3rd phase that I’m excited to start planning. But again, before I get into any of that, the most important focus is to push out these next two videos. It’s easy to have my mind wander, but I have to remember that I have to finish what I’ve already committed to.
Lastly, I was a bit under the weather today so I didn’t get to achieve everything I wanted to. I got a lot of stuff done, but hopefully tomorrow I can get back on that Plan A hustle. I’m really letting that one fall behind and I don’t want that to happen anymore. Also, I think I’ve made a decision to not take advantage of overtime hours available to me and simply stop working when I hit my 80 hours. This will enable me to focus on my hustles for those 20–30 hours I usually work of overtime. If I’m ever going to be happy and get this independence I’m looking for, I need to dedicate more than the 1.5 hours I’m giving this effort. Giving it 10–15 additional hours should help me build quality content and really grow this business.
